We are so excited to announce that this week, the House of Representatives passed the National Plan to End Parkinson’s Act! The legislation now heads to the Senate where it will await further consideration and a vote.
Thank you to everyone who has signed The Michael J Fox Foundation petition, sent letters, met with Congress, placed op-eds, spread awareness around the importance of this Act, and more. Even though this is such incredible progress, there is still work to be done! Please help us inform our New York State legistlation how important the National Plan is to our community by clicking on the button below.
In New York State, the state legislature also passed a bill requiring insurers to cover biomarker testing and the bill is now awaiting action by Gov. Kathy Hochul. Unfortunately, there are now efforts underway to weaken the bill’s language and therefore limiting its impact for patients. Gov. Hochul needs to hear from all of you on why this bill is so important, and why it needs to be signed into law without limiting its scope. Please take a few minutes to connect with our state lawmaker and advocate for this bill by clicking on the button below.
Thank you for your continued support towards ending Parkinson’s once and for all!
