A friendly reminder that the Gala is this month!
On Friday, October 23, we invite you to the Help for Parkinson’s Gala benefitting Parkinson’s Research at Albany Medical Center and Help for Parkinson’s, an organization dedicated to helping those dealing with Parkinson’s live their best possible life. The Gala will be held at the Colonie Golf and Country Club. Complimentary valet parking will be provided.
The festivities will start at 6:00 pm with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, followed by dinner, dancing, and raffle items. Our guest speaker this year is Steven Yellen, author of the book “Living Parkinson’s, 7 strategies for living well with Parkinson’s Disease.” The evening will conclude at 9:30. Registration is available on our website at www.helpforpd.org.
The theme of the Gala is “A Better Tomorrow – Live Well with Parkinson’s Disease.” Join us for an evening of connection with others in our Parkinson’s community. Folks living with Parkinson’s, Care Partners, Doctors, Wellness Practitioners and Researchers working towards a cure will all be there. It is an opportunity to celebrate another year of living our best possible lives while we navigate the challenges of Parkinson’s. We hope you will join us for an evening of wonderful company, good food, fun, and dancing!
Help for Parkinson’s is 100% donor-supported, and your donations above the ticket price are essential in helping us fund our current programs, as well as launching new programs where they are most needed. Help for Parkinson’s is a 501 (c) (3), not-for-profit organization, and your donation above the ticket price of $150 is tax-deductible within the guidelines of tax laws.
Last year, the Gala raised approximately $25,000, of which $15,000 was donated to Parkinson’s research at Albany Medical Center by Help for Parkinson’s.
Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to seeing you there! Please be aware that registration will close on Friday, October 16th. Feel free to contact me if you have questions. I can be reached at 518-350-7399, or email shovey23@gmail.com.
