Advocacy Opportunity: Rally to Ban Paraquat at NYS Capitol — May 13

As we work to make life better for people with Parkinson’s disease, the Parkinson’s Foundation is also working to create a world where fewer people develop Parkinson’s in the first place. This starts with prevention — and there’s a bill in the NY State Legislature that would be a critical step in this direction.

The bill (A.10074/S.9094) would ban the sale and use of paraquat, an herbicide that has been scientifically linked to increased Parkinson's risk, in New York beginning January 1, 2027. To help build support and momentum for this legislation, the Parkinson's Foundation is co-organizing a rally at the New York State Capitol in Albany on Wednesday, May 13. To RSVP or receive more information, fill out the interest form below. If you have any questions or would like to get involved in other ways, please contact the Foundation's Associate VP for Advocacy and State Policy Deborah Swerdlow at dswerdlow@parkinson.org
