Apathy describes a lack of interest, enthusiasm or motivation. Apathy is a non-motor symptom of Parkinson's Disease that can really make an impact on the person with PD and their loved ones. People may confuse this with laziness at first, but talking with your Movement Disorder Specialist is important to help determine if apathy is on board.
